Easy Ukoy Na Dulong Recipe

INGREDIENTS:
4 oz dulong (silver fish)
2 cups mung bean sprouts
1 & ½ cups cooking oil
For the Batter:
½ cup cornstarch
½ cup flour
½ tsp baking powder
½ tsp salt
½ tsp ground black pepper
¼ tsp garlic powder
¼ tsp onion powder
1 egg
1 cup water
HOW TO COOK:
Combine all the batter ingredients in a large mixing bowl then mix well until well incorporated.
Add- in the dulong and mung bean sprouts.
Gently stir until all ingredients are well blended.
Pour and heat the cooking oil in a pan.
Arrange ½ cup of mixture in a saucer (make sure the there is enough batter in the mixture).
Once the oil gets hot, slide- in the mixture into the pan.
Cook one side in medium heat until it turns golden brown and crisp.
Turn over using a spatula then cook the other side the same way.
Remove from the pan then transfer to a plate with paper towels.
Repeat until all the mixture is consumed.
Serve with spicy vinegar like sinamak. Enjoy!
